A rare cancer diagnosis can often bring unexpected and significant costs. These can include limited ability to work, travel to access specialists and treatment, and self-funding potentially life-saving medications that are not subsidised for rare cancers.
Often these costs are simply unaffordable to families without a little extra help. About a third of people who contact our Patient Support team mention financial stress in the first call. The costs can be unimaginable.
Our Patient Treatment Fund was created to help people raise the funds they need to relieve some of the financial burden of cancer.
