Wednesday 19th Feb Thanks for visiting Rare Cancers Australia and Julio’s page. He’d be deeply moved and grateful for that. Julio was diagnosed with a rare ALK positive cancer of the Lung in 2011 when his wife, Jo was pregnant with their second child. They have two beautiful young girls, 15 and 6 who will carry the light and love forward just as their father taught them to do. Julio’s journey was full of love and compassion, gentleness, protection, faith and courage and he has gifted everyone who knew him with lessons of strength, connection and gratitude. Julio and his wife were tireless advocates for those living with cancer and their wings stretched far and wide to support and inspire many. Rare Cancers Australia was a foundation of comfort and support for Julio and Jo in the experience of living with a rare cancer, with expensive and limited treatment options and little government funding. Your support here honours Julio and Jo’s desire to continue to help others receive treatment, support and advocacy.
