25km Mornington Peninsula Walk | In Memory of Laura Davis

Walking 25km in Memory of My Sister Laura

Walking 25km in Memory of Laura Davis

COME AND JOIN US on Saturday August 9th as we walk 25km across the Mornington Peninsula in memory of Laura Davis and to raise funds for Rare Cancers Australia.

2025 marks six years since my sister, Laura, lost her hard-fought battle with a rare form of oesophageal cancer. Over three incredibly tough years of treatment and hospital stays she showed a kind of strength that still leaves us in awe. Through it all she held onto her brilliant sense of humour, her deep belly laugh, and that big magnetic personality that drew people in and made everyone feel welcome. She was unforgettable.

I didn’t know about Rare Cancers Australia back then but I wish I had. They support people facing the most complex understudied and underfunded cancer diagnoses. Their work brings hope and practical help when it’s needed most and we’re proud to walk in Laura’s name to support them.

We’ve set a goal to raise $5,000 and more than that to start something that can grow into an annual walk in her honour.

If you're in or around the Mornington Peninsula and feel like joining us we’d love to have you on the walk. And if you're able to make a donation to support this cause thank you so much.

For Laura. For those still fighting. For better outcomes and brighter days ahead.
