I'm fundraising for
Rare Cancers Australia in the Corporate Clash in Macarthur! This annual event was an initiative of Mark Scarce and Grant Butterfield, commencing in 2014. Grant sadly passed away from rare cancer in 2020 and this event is his legacy.
It helps to raise awareness and much-needed funds for carefully selected, low-administration, local charities, organisations and individuals. This year's main event beneficiary is Rare Cancers Australia (RCA), who help provide support to Australians diagnosed with rare, less common or complex cancer. RCA stands in the patients corner and their support knows no limits,.
On Saturday, 2nd August 2025, I will be fighting for the 40,000 Australians diagnosed with a rare cancer each year and to help RCA.
Every dollar raised from this fundraising page will help provide specially made support packs to all of RCA's patients, that's more than 1,000 each year. These support packs help to bring joy to people going through one of the hardest chapters of their lives.
RCA is a Federal Government-classified Health Promotion Charity. All donations are fully tax deductible.

HOLLY COW ONLY 4 WEEKS TO GO 🫤
Friday 27th Jun So 4 weeks out and we have just found out who we will be fighting on the night. Being in the over 55 category, there weren't too many options. Pip (Ms Bunches of Punches the florist) and I are on! Pip and I have made great friends during this training process so this should be interesting. We reminded ourselves it's for charity so win, lose or draw, we vowed to sit down after our fight and have our first wine together 🥂.
Big Week Tension Building
Tuesday 24th Jun So this week we find out who our opponent will be on the night. I have a fair idea but not 100% confident due to my weight! On that note my son has created a "controlled" eating plan to go with my training. Hopefully I can drop 6kg between now and 2/8 fight night. I have definitely lost a dress size but no weight. Must be muscle!
Big Emotional Week 🥲
Wednesday 11th Jun So this makes me very uncomfortable but I think it's worth sharing. I consider myself a strong and resilient person. Rarely do I let things get the better of me, choosing to "harden up" and say nothing. Training last Saturday and last night included some light sparring. I felt hopeless AF and wondered if I will ever get better. I was trying to keep my hands high as instructed but felt I couldn't see properly. For some reason it took me over and everything else went to shit. I kept going but knew I was sub-par. Nothing bad happened but that feeling of uselessness took me over. End of the session I had a bit of a cry due to frustration I guess. Thankfully Corrine , Pip and Chantel,my team mates, were there to help. We were warned at the start this would happen but not sure I thought it would happen to me the tough bitch! Today is s new day. I have created a new training plan which should see me ready for the Olympics next year. Do the work, get the result, that's always neeen my motto so I am sticking to it. Just more work higher intensity. Do my best and keep it going. Raise funds for this brilliant cause. RANT OVER . Oh and this huge bruise on my left butt cheek can go away now please.
Week 5 Feel the burn!
Friday 6th Jun So this week we kicked up the cardio a bit so we could get a little insight into how exhausted we will feel during the rounds. Mind you I didn't need this to remind me how hard this is going to be. I personally love burpees and star jumps. My planking has gone from 20 seconds to about 1 minute. Still a punish ! Next week into the ring. I am quietly shitting myself. Thanks to all my sponsors. Greatly appreciated all of you.
