I'm fundraising for...
Wednesday 19th Feb On March 6th 2024, it will be 10 years since we said goodbye to Rebecca after her 2 year battle with a rare and aggressive sarcoma . Many will remember this time and we thank you for all the things that have done to help us, coach us and just be kind to us through thick and thin. Rebecca’s chosen charity in those final weeks of her life was Rare Cancers Australia and in her memory and the memory of others, a group of ladies from the Central Coast have walked to the summit of Mount Koziosko each year - Covid aside they have completed 7 walks to date and this year in March they will do their 8th - All the time raising awareness for this great charity - what a great statement! Given this year is 10 years, it is now my time to do something so along with 2 good friends from the UK, we are going to complete the worlds oldest swim - the Hellespont and Dardanelles Swim - https://www.swimtrek.com/packages/swimming-holiday-hellespont-and-dardanelles-swim - this will be in August. It is only a 4 km swim but to do this, I need to train so I have decided to swim a total of 300 km in 2024 in memory of Rebecca and there can be no better cause than to try and raise money for the team at Rare Cancers Australia.
