Wednesday 19th Feb Medical research makes wonderful progress every year and the success rate with many cancer treatments is improving rapidly. However, there are a group of cancers, "The Rare Cancers", that have not received as much funding for research and they have a much lower survival rate. Pancreatic and Bile Duct cancer are in that group. Many people will be aware that two of our 1972 class mates, Brian Kerlin and Peter Ryan died from Bile Duct cancer and we would like to honour their memory by raising funds to assist with research that will help all who are effected by that cancer.
